Diffuser ID2 Type
Where to place the acoustic diffuser ?
Sound Diffusers keep your room lively because they do not absorb sound waves. The Diffusor scatters sound waves and spreads them around the room. With the right combination of Diffusers and Absorbers, a sound-balanced room can be achieved. When choosing a suitable place to mount the ID2 Type Diffuser, we should first remember that the Diffuser should be at least 1,5 meter away from the listener. That distance is determined by the lower frequency that the diffuser can dissipate. ID2 Type Diffuser effective frequency range strats from 470 Hz and offers effective and even diffusion up through 5200 kHz. The ID2 Type Diffusor offers additional scattering to the upper limit of 6,8 kHz.
This Diffuser is custom made product fully adoptable to the customer needs, by color and dimension. Standard Cell dimension is 60x48 cm, and that Cell dimension can be multiplied by customers needs. Section shown on the picture contains 2 sections and has dimension 120x48 cm. This Diffuser is deigned and built to be mounted on the wall, not to the ceiling.
Recommended mounting positions for this type of Diffuser are at the: Front Wall between the speakers. Sound Diffuser on the front wall , will improve sound clarity, and it will create a more spacious sound stage, especially when combined with absorption on the rear wall. Putting them to the front wall between your speakers, you'll finally achieve a real sound stage and real image precision, depth and clarity instead of the "false 3D sound" that is mostly common in acoustically untreated room.
Rear wall behind the listening position If your listening position is far enough from the rear wall (at least 1,5 meters), the Diffusers on the rear wall have enough space to evenly distribute the sound energy, ensuring the best acoustic experience.
First sound reflections on the side walls Installing Diffusers in combination with Absorbers on the first reflection point, it will preserve more liveliness in your high-end listening room. It will also prevent the sound energy to be reflected directly by the flat walls to the listening position.
